Vehicle safety is of great concern for drivers up and down the country. Knowing that you and your passengers are as secure as can be when on the move is important, as is knowing that you’ve got a good number of safety systems on board to help should an incident occur.
With our great range of cars here at David Hayton, you can select the one which works best for you. But in terms of outright safety, these are some of the ideal options from our current range.
Audi Q3
The Q3 is one of Audi’s smallest SUVs, but don’t go thinking that its compact proportions mean it isn’t a safe choice. In fact, the Q3 is one of the most secure cars about, coming equipped with a raft of safety assistance systems including lane-keep assist to help make sure you stay on the straight and narrow at all times.
In fact, the Q3 was awarded a full five-star rating when tested by specialists Euro NCAP in 2018, with examiners praising this car’s great adult and child occupant safety.
Seat Arona
Even smaller than the Q3 is this car - the Seat Arona. It’s a compact SUV which is actually based on the same platform as the popular Ibiza. This means you get a raised driving position but in a car which is still very easy to park and position thanks to its small size.
But it packs a lot of safety into a small car, with blind-spot monitoring just one of a number of great safety features included on this good-looking Seat. It also carries an excellent five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
Toyota Yaris
The Yaris is a car that offers a lot. Thanks to a fuel-sipping hybrid powertrain it’s impressively efficient and its exceptional history of reliability means it’s a car that’ll never let you down. All versions get plenty of equipment, too, including a large central screen which has smartphone mirroring systems such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Despite being a compact city car the Yaris goes big on safety with plenty of on-board assistance systems ensuring that everything stays composed even in the event of an incident. It’s even got autonomous emergency braking which can bring the car to a stop automatically if it detects something in the way.
Volkswagen Golf
The Golf is a household name having been a common sight on our roads for decades. The most modern Golf - which is now in its eighth generation - is available here at David Hayton and with it, you’ll find some of the very latest technology that Volkswagen has to offer. There’s a large central screen and digital driver’s display but, as with all Golf models, it’s still spacious and practical enough to be used every day.
Volkswagens have always been known for safety and this generation of Golf is no different. It got a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP and comes equipped with a suite of airbags, including those for the driver’s knees.
Ford Focus
Like the Volkswagen Golf, Ford’s Focus is a model which is known for its practicality and ease of use. You’ll find the Focus within our current range of pre-owned vehicles, too, and with it, you’ll be getting a very safe second-hand purchase. It gets an impressive suite of safety systems, too, including autonomous emergency braking and a lane assist system which can prevent the driver from ‘drifting’ between lanes.
You get side, head and chest airbags on all models, too, while ISOFIX child seat mounting points can be found on the two outermost rear seats.
Here at David Hayton, we’ve got a wide variety of vehicles to look at. If any of the cars we’ve looked at in this article take your fancy then get in touch to find out more or browse through our current range of cars to see what else we’ve got on offer.
